Finally, the temperature has warmed up enough that we have packing snow to play with. To celebrate this wonderful occurrence, we took our art and engineering class outside and held a snow sculpturing contest. Students were challenged to create a structure in one of three categories: the most creative, the most realistic or the tallest structure. Students made an entire replica of downtown New York city, a fictitious video game creature, an inukshuk, a WW1 trench, the leaning tower of Pisa and many tall structures.
This was a great way of spending a beautiful sunny afternoon.
